Dr. Yashari is a Board Certified obstetrician gynecologist who has been in private practice since 1973. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Tehran in Iran, he completed his internship at Misericordia Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, followed by his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Dr. Yashari proceeded with specialized training and fellowship in female infertility and endocrinology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where he also served as an instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for four years.
Dr. Yashari attends numerous workshops and seminars each year enabling him to care for his patients with the latest techniques and advancements in his field. He has extensive experience in video pelviscopy (endoscopy), myomectomies (removal of fibroids), excision of ovarian cysts, lysis of pelvic adhesions (removal of scar tissues) and laparoscopic- assisted hysterectomies. Dr. Yashari is experienced in all aspects of obstetrics and has performed over 4000 deliveries. He is also an advocate of natural childbirth and vaginal deliveries following previous c-sections (VBAC). He makes every attempt to provide women with a birthing experience that matches their birth plan and is attuned to their own personal philosophies.
Dr. Yashari treats women throughout their reproductive years and beyond. He helps patients struggling with infertility navigate the early stages of assisted reproductive techniques, preforming procedures such as IUI (intrauterine insemination). He provides care in all aspects of gynecology. For his menopausal patients, he offers a variety of treatment options, including bioidentical hormones for hormone replacement therapy.
Dr. Yashari is a long standing fellow of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the Los Angeles OB/GYN Society.
